Looking for a great date night? Don't miss Diners, Drive-Ins, & Daily Specials on September 20. Spend your Saturday evening at COMU enjoying art, food, and nostalgia under the stars in celebration of Daily Special: The Art of John Miller. The festivities begin at 4 PM with a special gallery tour led by the artist himself. This exhibition presents the intertwined visions of a married couple—celebrated Southern photographers Maude and Langdon Clay—and their youngest daughter, Sophia, who is forging her own artistic path at age 30. Anchored in the Mississippi Delta town of Sumner, the Clays’ collective body of work spans decades, revealing not just a shared craft, but a deeply personal bond. In Threes serves as an intimate vignette of a family of photographers spanning decades. Acting as the first exhibition as a family, the Clay’s work reveals not just a shared craft but a deeply personal bond between the artists.

4. Hot Water: Works by Coulter Fussell Through December 6 – The Bo Bartlett Center

Donated fabrics—including feed bags, linens, and comic prints—are transformed into quilted sculptures germinated with memory and rooted in the local Lower Chattahoochee Valley. These “River Raft Quilts” are art that tells the story of place, identity, and belonging—wrapped in warmth and texture.

Step into an evening of warmth and elegance as Brahms & Mendelssohn unfolds in a program rich with introspection and soulful beauty. The gentle lyricism of Florence Price’s Adoration opens the heart with its tender simplicity—followed by the return of brilliant violinist SooBeen Lee for her third season with the CSO, bringing her luminous artistry to Mendelssohn’s beloved Violin Concerto. The delightful evening concludes with Brahms’ Symphony No. 1, a noble triumph filled with rich textures and stirring themes. 6. Steeplechase at Callaway Gardens – November 15 – Callaway Gardens

The beloved Race for the Arts returns on November 15 at Callaway Gardens. Watch horses clear elegant brush jumps, cheer on kids’ races featuring ponies and terrier dashes, visit vendors, view an art exhibition, and enjoy picnic vibes—all in support of local arts nonprofits. Steeplechase has raised more than $4 million dollars for the arts in Columbus, Georgia since its inception in 1985. Purchase a ticket to attend this year and help the legacy of this beloved benefit continue to provide funding for: The Columbus Museum, RiverCenter for the Performing Arts, Columbus Symphony Orchestra, Historic Columbus, Springer Opera House, and Callaway Gardens.

7. FROZEN – Opens November 29 – Springer Opera House
