Mr. Ludy's Lights On Display for SHINE at the Columbus Botanical Garden

The Columbus Botanical Garden has been keeping an exciting secret! This year, some of the elements from Columbus, Georgia's beloved light show creator Gerald ("Jerry") Ludy will be on display during SHINE at The Garden.
The Ludy Christmas Light Spectacular has been a treasured annual tradition in Columbus, Georgia for many years, but last year was Mr. Ludy's final year producing the Spectacular at his home. After announcing last year would be the final year for the Spectacular, thousands of people flocked to social media to express how sad they were to see Ludy's tradition come to an end. Now, everyone will get the chance to see a selection of his work again through this exciting collaboration with The Columbus Botanical Garden.
"The Ludy Christmas Light Spectacular display may not be available any longer, but this opportunity to have a few of the items from the display being available at the Columbus Botanical Garden is an honor to me," Mr. Ludy explained this week. "If anyone has the true meaning of Christmas in their heart, then that spirit never leaves them. I always have stated that Christmas is not about the lights, but the light of our hearts shining and being an impact on others around us. Jesus gave me that light, and I have been shining my part of the world for others to see. The Columbus Botanical Garden has been so gracious and kind in allowing me to be part of their team this year."
SHINE runs November 29- December 23 at The Garden and features hundreds of thousands of twinkling lights that invite the making of heartwarming memories together in this celebration of nature and wonder every year. In addition to enjoying the lights, Santa Claus will be on site each night to spread holiday cheer, there will be live entertainment, and craft stations for kids.
