The Youth Orchestra of Greater Columbus Celebrates 30 Years with 'Third & 30' Concert

On Tuesday, April 30, the Youth Orchestra of Greater Columbus will perform their final concert of the 2023-24 season. The concert will take place at Spencer High Schoo, and will feature the organization's Youth Orchestra (their high school symphonic orchestra), String Orchestra (their middle school orchestra), and their Chamber Ensembles.

The concert is called Third & 30 in honor of YOGC's 30th season. Audience members can expect to enjoy a program of fabulous music including a new composition created by Music Director Jim Palmer. Opus 30 was written by Palmer as a tribute to YOGC's 30 years serving young local music students.

The final concert of the season also celebrates YOGC's senior members who are graduating and going on to college. This year's seniors include Sara Tagaki, Grace Johnson, Kellum Jones, Trinity McAfee, Colton Donahue, Andy Jung, Nova Davis, Zamari Sims, Paola Lopez, Sarah Nelson, Xavier Harris, Jakobi Gerideau, Mason Cook, Jack Seymour, and Mukil Sundaravadivel.

Admission to the concert is $10, and guests under 18 are free. Get tickets here!
