Our 2020 Christmas Light Tour Guide

Updated: Dec 12, 2020

Compiled by Blake Blackmon and DB Woolbright

“For we need a little Christmas, right this very minute!”

Our playlist for this year's tour starts with this classic song which takes on a whole new meaning this year. We hope this Christmas light tour guide will give you a serious dose of Christmas joy that provides a sort of relief and escape from any anxieties or despair of this year.

Christmas remains a unifying holiday even when many of us must remain separate. If anything, take joy in the camaraderie of enjoying the same spectacular lights as your fellow Columbusites. Afterall, as Martin Luther King said it best, “Darkness cannot drive out darkness, only light can do that.” Happy Holidays everyone, we hope you enjoy this bit of lightness.

First up on our list we bring you the drive-thru lights at The Columbus Museum. Get in the spirit and enjoy the Museum’s first ever lights display. It’s the perfect start to our light tour with close access to downtown where Fountain City, The Bakeshop, and Iron Bank make excellent local stops for hot chocolate and baked goodies.

2854 Lynda Lane

What could be cuter than a school bus decked out in colored lights?! Not much. This stop is always a joy for everyone, and their neighbors deserve a shout out this year as well!

2715 Lynda Lane

Lights, blowups, this house has it all! Any despicable me fans along for the ride? They’ll get a kick out of the larger than life minions and colors galore.

2626 Habersham Avenue

Here we have our first light display set to music! Tune in to 94.9 and enjoy watching elves toss presents over your car as well as Santa himself perched on the chimney.

4500 Forrest Road

This house is all about the larger than life blow ups! Spot a sweet deer curled up, a balloon Santa Clause, plenty of snowmen and much more.

6513 Clearwater Drive

Roll down your window at this lovely stop to take in all the Christmas lights and listen to their festive music. The amount of lights here are truly impressive.

6023 Morningside Drive

Candy Canes, shooting stars and Christmas trees all set to music! Turn your radio to 88.9 and linger a while to enjoy the show.

5753 Springhill Avenue

This stop is more like a Christmas village than a single house. The amount of lights in this area are pretty impressive. Light displays are especially colorful and packed with fun details that will make you want to slow your speed for a lap or two around the block to enjoy the views.

900 Arapaho Ct, new!

You’ll see this house shining through the woods before you even arrive! Trees are wrapped in colored lights and the yard is full of delightful details like an Olaf blow up and a lit up Santa seesaw to name a few.

700 Sweetbay Parkway, new!

We have QUITE the finale for those willing to drive just a bit further! You won’t want to miss this spectacular light show set to music. The light show goes on everyday 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Friday and Saturday 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Some nights the show even involves flame throwers! A note from the owner: “Don't block driveways, stay on the opposite side of the street and no loud music. You can get out of your car and stand in front of the house that's for sale directly in front of my house for the best view. Tune your radios to 101.1 fm to listen along.”
