'ELF: The Musical' Opens at Springer Opera House

Updated: Dec 4, 2023

Buddy the Elf is BACK in town!

Attending a holiday show at The Springer Opera House is an annual tradition for many Columbusites, and this year's production of Elf promises to provide a memorable holiday evening for the whole family.

Elf originally opened on Broadway in the Christmas season of 2010, and received rave reviews for its catchy tunes, wholesome storyline, and festive design elements. Though based on the hit movie, it's helpful to know the musical has some differences though the general plot stays true to the film.

The Springer's production features a primarily-local cast that also includes an ensemble of local children who were hand-picked during this season's auditions. Expect to see some familiar faces returning to the Springer's MainStage, but know that there are plenty of new actors making their MainStage debut this holiday season.

Elf runs December 1-23 in Springer's Emily Woodruff Theatre. Tickets are on sale, and multiple performances are expected to sell out. Don't miss your chance to see this exciting holiday musical so close to home!
